Welcome to the 2008 Boston Latino Film Festival
Estimado Amigos,

It’s that time again. The seventh annual season of the Boston Latino International Film Festival approaches as the first signs of summer begin to flower throughout “the hub.”

Slated to run from September 24th through the 28th, 2008, now is the time to sound the call for entries: filmmakers near and far are invited to submit their finest work, pertaining to issues relevant to the Latino community.

The 2007 season brought 79 films from over 17 countries to an audience of approximately 7,000. Exploring feature films, documentaries, and shorts, BLIFF aims to discover, and bring to audiences, a program of equal caliber this September.

If the overwhelming success of last year’s festival is any indication, Boston is ready for another exciting, diverse season of film and the celebration thereof. Stay tuned for the unveiling of this year’s program.

Gracias!

Jose Augusto Barriga
